Our quality promise
Everything we sell is made or prepared by hand at our own butchery and kitchen, and we want you to be completely happy with it. If anything is not right, contact us on 01889 568411 or accounts@staffordshiremeats.co.uk and we will sort it.
Fresh and perishable food
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, the usual 14 day right to cancel an online order does not apply to goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly. This covers our fresh meat, sausages, burgers, pies, sausage rolls and other perishable items. This means we cannot accept cancellations or returns of perishable food simply because you have changed your mind once the order has been prepared.
If you need to cancel before your order has been prepared for collection, contact us as soon as possible and we will refund you if we can still stop it.
Pantry and non-perishable items
For non-perishable items such as sauces, mustards, preserves and honey, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of collection or delivery without giving a reason. Items must be unused, unopened and in their original packaging. Tell us in writing (email is fine) within the 14 days, then return the items to us within a further 14 days. We will refund you within 14 days of receiving the items back.
Faulty or incorrect items
If anything you receive is faulty, damaged, spoiled or not what you ordered, you are covered by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and we will make it right with a replacement or a full refund, including for perishable items. Please contact us within 24 hours of collection where possible, and include a photo of the item and your order number. Please do not return perishable food to us; a photo is enough.
How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to your original payment method, normally within a few days and always within 14 days of the refund being agreed.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.
