Our story

Farming in our family for four generations

Set in the heart of the rural countryside, Staffordshire Meats is a family story four generations in the making. From great-grandfather to grandfather, father to Pete, farming has never just been a livelihood. It's been a passion, and a responsibility passed down with pride.

Meet Pete

Pete, affectionately known as "Big Pete", has loved farming since he was a boy, growing up on the land his family has worked for generations.

Today the family owns four farms straddling the beautiful Staffordshire and Derbyshire borders, where 100% British Hereford & Angus cattle, pigs and Suffolk ewes are reared to the highest standards of animal welfare, nurtured with care and raised with genuine passion.

Fifteen years ago the family opened two farm shops to bring our produce directly to the local community, cut food miles and keep our carbon footprint low. Both stock the full range, meat, bacon, burgers, sausages, pies and more, all prepared by our skilled butchers.

Our bacon and gammon joints are made using traditional methods, with no additives or saline.

Planning a party, wedding or celebration? We supply whole hogs for hog roasts, the ultimate centrepiece for any gathering. Outdoor-reared on our family farms, from farm to feast.

Picnic boxes

Handcrafted boxes for summer lunches and days out: homemade sausage rolls, scotch eggs, freshly baked quiches, and rolls filled with ham & beef. All made by hand, no shortcuts.
